1731 G. Medley tr. of P. Kolben’s Present State of Cape of G.H. II. 190In the Table-Bay, and in Bay-Falzo, is caught a Sort of Fish the Dutch call Elft. The Elft is Three Quarters of a Yard long or more; and is scal’d much like a Herring.
