Any of several species of succulent flowering plants of the Mesembryanthemaceae, especially of the genera Mesembryanthemum, Lampranthus, Stoeberia, and Dorotheanthus; mesem; vygebosch. Also attributive. See also bokbaai vygie, skilpadbos (skilpad sense b).
