Named for the founder of the company, Jasper Venter.
1. The proprietory name of a particular make of small trailer, suitable for towing behind a motor car; also applied loosely to any small trailer.
1989 Sunday Times 20 Aug. (Mag. Sect.) 40Jasper’s trailers are so famous..that his surname’s become a generic. In the same way people talk about Band-Aid..for plasters.., say Venter to most South Africans and they’ll think..Trailer.
