1957 S. Schoeman Strike! 144The so-called ‘Tornynhaai’ (Porpoise Shark) of South Africa, also known as ‘Jumping Jack’ at Mossel Bay, is identical to the Mako shark of New Zealand. These Jumping Jacks or tornynhaaie are fairly plentiful in the littoral between Cape Infanta and Plettenberg Bay.
